Goals
Promote inclusion and accessibility in sport by increasing awareness and participation in adaptive recreation, specifically through a hands-on sledge hockey experience.
Raise $1,000 to support Canada’s National Para Ice Hockey Team in their journey to the 2026 Winter Paralympics, while fostering community engagement among students and local organizations.
Objectives
Host an inclusive Sledge Hockey Try-It event at Carleton University in partnership with Abilities Ottawa, giving students and community members a chance to experience para ice hockey firsthand and learn about adaptive sport.
Implement multi-stream fundraising efforts — including a bake sale, raffle, and online GoFundMe campaign — supported by local sponsors and student volunteers, to meet or exceed the $1,000 fundraising target.
